More Ideas on Gardasil Toxicity and the Thiamine Connection

6834 views

I am in constant touch with the mother of the Gardasil treated daughter whose personal research suggested that her daughter had beriberi after she received the HPV vaccine.  As has been previously posted on this web site, thiamine deficiency, the basic cause of beriberi, was proved in this girl by a blood test called transketolase. It led to the test being done on two other girls and a boy, all of whom had been Gardasil vaccinated. All proved to have thiamine deficiency through this test.  Each of these young people, who have had the HPV vaccination and have succumbed to prolonged illness, have a variety of symptoms that have defied diagnosis and treatment.

As the original post on this subject pointed out, Postural Orthostatic Hypotension Syndrome (POTS), an apparently common post Gardasil illness, is a form of dysautonomia [damage to the autonomic nervous system] as is beriberi in its early stages. More recently, cerebellar ataxia has also been reported as a post Gardasil phenomenon. I have already pointed out on a previous post that the first case of thiamine dependency to be reported was in a six year old boy who suffered repeated attacks of cerebellar ataxia (see below for reference). Thus, thiamine plays a vital part in the brain.

As an analogy, the effect of its deficiency can roughly be compared with a defective spark plug in the engine of a car, thus killing the engine. It has been difficult for a number of Gardasil affected families to accept this proven fact because it seems so simple. It is not at all simple, for thiamine deficiency is a very serious problem in the brain. Believe it or not, it is capable of explaining all the symptoms that have been described to me.

The mother, whose research had led to the belief that beriberi was the cause of her daughter’s illness, has notified me of a number of symptoms that have been the subject of many questions from other mothers of Gardasil affected individuals. For example, one of the most classical signs of beriberi is swelling of tissues from fluid under the skin. This is called edema, a phenomenon that occurs in what is generally known as “wet” beriberi.  In dealing with a complex subject where technical knowledge is required, it was one of the observations in her daughter that convinced the mother that this was in fact beriberi.

Puzzling Symptoms Post HPV Vaccine

One of the puzzles that the mothers have discussed is that the vaccination seems to pick off the brightest and the best students who are usually also excellent athletes.  Another puzzle they have discussed is that symptoms seem to get worse when there is an abrupt change in the weather. Severe reactions to food and histamine related skin problems seem to be common to many of these affected individuals. Naturally, these have been passed on to me to try to provide an explanation, based on the proof that has been shown by the transketolase test.

Oxidative Metabolism

We all understand that our lives depend upon the consumption of oxygen.  The brain uses 20% of the oxygen that you intake with every breath. This is because the metabolism in nervous tissue and the brain is very rapid. The same is true for the heart and that is why beriberi predominantly affects the nervous system, the brain and the heart. Thiamine “ignites” (spark plug) the fuel (glucose) by causing the glucose to combine with oxygen (combustion). This is what is called oxidative metabolism and why I refer to thiamine as “the spark of life”.  It is how we generate energy in every one of our 70 to 100 trillion cells that enable them to function.

Thiamine and the Brain

The lower part of the brain is highly sensitive to thiamine deficiency, interrupting the normal course of oxidative metabolism. If this part of the brain (the computer) is made to be inefficient from mild to moderate thiamine deficiency, it becomes irritable. If the deficiency persists or is more severe, structural damage begins and is irreversible. When the brain is healthy, all the physical and mental stimuli that we encounter on a daily basis are passed into the computer through our senses.

With the aid of the “thinking brain”, a decision is made as to how we will respond to the input stimulus, including our emotional responses which are generated in the limbic system and modified by the upper “thinking brain”. This is how we continuously adapt to both the mental and physical “stress factors” that we encounter in our daily lives.  But if the computer is made irritable, it will over-react to a stimulus and create an exaggerated response. For example, a normal response to an insult would be anger.

An exaggerated response might be associated with violence because the thinking brain has not suppressed or modified the reflex.  It is the limbic system (computer) that generates the fight-or-flight reflex. When it is made to be irritable this reflex may be initiated without there being a reason for it. It is then called a panic attack. Or, with a trivial stimulus, it might send a signal to the cells which release histamine, the reaction being initiated by something as simple as perception of a quick change in the weather.

Like a high powered car that requires more energy, so a high IQ is more demanding of oxidative metabolism, thus perhaps explaining why superior students are at greater risk. When we put food into the stomach, it automatically sends a signal into the computer. As we fill the stomach, these signals gradually crescendo, finally telling us that we have had enough to eat.  If, however, the computer has been made to be more sensitive, a severe reaction to the food may be generated and we call it food allergy. We can begin to see that the action is in the brain, not in the stomach.

How Could Gardasil Induce Thiamine Deficiency?

The primary answer to this difficult question is – we don’t know.  For example, we do not know whether a person has an abnormal transketolase before the vaccine is given.  We know that thiamine metabolism is related to the intake of sugar in the diet.  Beriberi has been reported in Japanese students ingesting carbonated beverages, a common worldwide activity associated with social groups, particularly adolescents. We know also that our present food supply does not contain the kind of concentration of vitamins and minerals required for perfect health, again suggesting the greater risk of a high IQ in relation to the quality of diet. The only direct connection between thiamine deficiency and the action of the Gardasil vaccine is that it is a yeast based vaccine. The yeast used in its preparation contains an enzyme called thiaminase. This naturally occurring enzyme breaks thiamine into its component parts and destroys its biologic action. Thiaminase disease has been reported in Japan.

Could Any Vaccine or Medication be a Stress Factor Sufficient to Induce Thiamine Deficiency?

In a previous post I told the story of how workers in factories succumbed to their first symptoms of beriberi as a result of their exposure to sunlight. What this implies is that you can have a marginal thiamine deficiency which is asymptomatic. Some kind of stress factor such as a simple viral illness, an injury, or even an inoculation can initiate symptoms. There are many examples of this in the medical literature, where a marginal metabolic situation that affects the brain is activated in this manner. Evidence provided by an abnormal transketolase is but a beginning, providing a scientific clue that should, in a sane world, initiate further research.

Gardasil Injured

7463 views

I am the mother of my precious little girl Alisa (pictured). Though she is not little anymore, she will always be my princess. Alisa grew up healthy, active, and happy. She enjoyed trying new things and being around others. She loved photography, fishing, bike riding, boating, hiking, martial arts, music (especially her violin), and all types of animals. In high school she enjoyed her photography in which she won awards for. She was a tattoo assistant for a Washington State award winning tattoo artist and was learning the trade. She was on the swim team and loved swimming. Being a concerned mother I was fearful for her getting cervical cancer. We were being bombarded with commercials and ads for this vaccine for girls to be one less. When they offered the vaccine to my daughter I said sure. They never went over side effects or problems, so I figured it was a safe one. That day is when our nightmare began.

August 14, 2007, the first vaccine shot ( lot # 0384U) – Alisa went home with her injection site itchy, swollen, red, and sore. She was not feeling well, like flu. I sent her to bed and she was home sick for a couple days. The doctors office said that was normal. I did notice she was complaining about sore joints and muscles in the months to follow and she was napping more with headaches. I just blamed it on growing pains.

November 14, 2007, second vaccine shot (lot # 0927U) – Alisa was not thrilled about having the shot again. She was so scared she was going to feel crummy again. Sure enough the injection site was itchy, sore, red and this time the area swelled up a large area. She went home and went to bed. She was out of school again down with flu like symptoms for days. Slowly she came out of her slump but was so sore throughout her body. Sore muscles and joints, complained of headaches. She was exhausted all the time. It was difficult for her to muster the strength to do things. She took to her computer and was playing games online with friends.

Happy Valentines Day to you….February 14, 2008 (lot# 12APR10). This time she was flat terrified and cried all the way to the doctors begging me not to make her get the vaccine. This breaks my heart because I remember this day too vividly. I kept telling her it was the last shot and we don’t want to make the other two shots go without the final one. I kept telling her it was for the best. We left the office and she was throwing up, shaking, feverish, and the usual symptoms of sore muscles and joints, a pounding headache, exhaustion. She was down for over a week recouping from the shot.

After the 3 shots I put the series out of my mind. The only time that I remember the shots was EVERY visit to the hospitals and Dr.s offices, when they would ask if Alisa had all her vaccines. EVERY time I answered I said, “yes she has even had the Gardasil series.” Not one doctor put this together. The cause to her illnesses were put together by good friends of the family.

Many of you may wonder why I continued taking her in for the vaccine series.  I called the doctor’s office about her reactions each time, and they said it was completely normal to have those “minor” reactions: swelling, itching, light headed, and dizzy. After all it is a shot!!!! They also said at the doctor’s office, NO ONE has ever had the flu like symptoms from the vaccine, so she must have a touch of the flu. When the third dose came around they stressed to us that the other two shots of the vaccine would have been useless without the third. I trusted our family doctor of 15 years. He had never steered us wrong and always took care of us – treated us honestly and fair. I grew up with my grandfather being a doctor and most of my aunts being RN’s, I worked in the medical community. I trusted them….It never dawned on me they could be wrong.

Alisa continued on with her life but lost some of her spunkiness. She no longer had tons of energy. She slept a bunch, stopped her swim team, and spent more time in her room on the computer. She said her body hurt and didn’t feel like doing anything.

There are so many doctors appointments and hospital visits in this time frame. I have requested all her records from the hospitals, clinics, and her primary care provider (he has discharged her from his office).

October 2009, another visit to the emergency department with eye problems. She was having bloody discharge and pressure behind her right eye. Alisa was having problems with slurred speech,  headache and facial droop. They accounted it to pink eye and we begin treatment. They recommend we contact a neurologist and see the doctor.

After seeing the neurologist finally we were sent home with the idea of further testing later. Later that night the neurologist called recommending we take her back to the hospital for further testing. October 2009, off to the hospital again. By this time, Alisa was admitted into children’s hospital with the following symptoms: Bells Palsy, migraine, right sided weakness, blurry vision, tinnitus, balance problems,  numbness right side, unable to walk, problems swallowing, fatigue, joint pain, difficulty in opening mouth. They were testing for stroke and other unknown causes to this problem. She endured CAT scans, MRI’s, Lumbar punches. Over the next week she continued to get worse. Of course the psychiatric doctors were sent in to ensure she wasn’t an abuse victim. We didn’t know yet then she was abused by the pharmaceutical company. She was discharged without a cause to the problem.

This was Alisa’s senior year in high school, though the first semester she was in the hospital and a tutor came in a few times a week to drop off and pick up homework. The doctors released her to return to school but the noises, medications, and lights caused her headaches to pound and she was struggling with anxiety issues. With only one semester until graduation she dropped out of school. It was too much to handle. (She tested and passed her GED in Dec. 2011).

Over the following years Alisa has had this happen 2 more times. Right side paralysis, wheelchair, learn to walk with a walker again, and now she gets so exhausted she uses the wheelchair to save her energy.

Her side effects seem to increase in intensity and keep adding in numbers. So far she struggles with the following issues: leaky gut syndrome, pins and needles in extremities, dizziness, bleeding gums, toothaches/teeth changes, brain fog, sensitivity to chemicals, chest pains, constipation, dehydration,  enlarged liver, sound sensitivity w/anxiety, extreme pain in the tailbone area, fainting, fever and blisters, fibromyalgia, Guillain-Barre syndrome, autistic-like symptoms, hand/leg weakness, back pain, hot//cold intolerance, trouble sleeping, itching, joint pain,  knee pain, light sensitivity, blindness, depression, personality changes, anxiety/panic attacks, loss of bladder control, bladder issues, muscle aches and spasms, muscle tension, tumor, paleness, chronic fatigue syndrome, paralysis, pneumonia, severe nerve pain, shortness of breath, slurred speech, smell sensitivity, diarrhea, sore throat, stomach pain, swelling/edema, tremors hand and/or leg, random twitching of extremities, bloating, uterine spasms, hair loss, urinary tract infections (UTI), kidney issues, vision loss (temporary/permanent), vision  problems, dyslexia, hallucinations, vomiting blood, stomach ache, nausea, rashes, appetite loss, weight gain or loss ( 20-30lbs).

Alisa is unable to anything without supervision. Showering requires a shower chair. She has to be checked on constantly since her seizures come without notice. She becomes so disoriented after some of the seizures, she wanders off.

Alisa was once firm in her beliefs about anti-smoking and drug use, but has now become a medical marijuana patient. This is the only thing that takes an edge off the pain. She is never pain free but the MMJ makes it more tolerable. Unfortunately this pain relief isn’t covered by medical insurance so the $1200.00 a month pain control comes out of the pocket book.

This vaccine has dramatically changed our family’s life.  Alisa fights for her life everyday. It is even more difficult to not be able to help her or find a cure for her symptoms. It is heartbreaking to watch your child suffer in horrible pain and not be able to help. I feel guilty because my child is suffering because of a choice I made. A choice I thought was to help her and instead has disabled her. I wish someone would have told me. Please help spread the word about this vaccine. Tell everyone you know about the dangers of the vaccine. Educate before you vaccinate. This vaccine is harming thousands of girls, and now boys. The vaccine needs to be taken off the market. The numbers of children affected is rising everyday.

Wal-Mart to Offer HPV Vaccine

2312 views

Now, in addition to low priced groceries and other goods, your local Wal-Mart will offer nurse kiosks ready to inject you or your child with a variety of vaccines. Wal-Mart is joining other stores, like Walgreens and CVS, in offering walk-through health clinics. According to recent reports, Wal-Mart will be the first to offer the controversial HPV vaccines Gardasil and Cervarix.

At Hormones MatterTM, we have written a lot about Gardasil and the HPV vaccine questioning its safety. Gardasil: Miracle or Deadly Vaccine?, Is Gardasil Mandated in Your State?, What About the Pap Smear?. For a very heartbreaking story at the dangerous side effects of this story please read A Ruined Life from Gardasil. HPV is a very common virus that many experts believe the body can fight off by itself; with annual pap smear tests a doctor can easily catch and remove any abnormal cells before they become cancer.

The trend of selling direct-to-consumer vaccines, like that of selling over-the-counter medications is time-saving and logical on the one hand, but is troubling on the other, especially with vaccines and medications that have less than stellar safety profiles. Any product sold direct-to-consumer comes with the false presumption that it is entirely safe. Indeed, we have consumer protection agencies to ensure that this is the case with most products. Consumers often mistakenly assume that over-the-counter medications are safe because there is a consumer protection agency protecting their well-being, otherwise the product would not be on the market. Unlike a toy with a choking hazard or a product batch with a chemical contaminant, where the cause and effect are obvious and easily remedied with recall, the direct side-effects or adverse reactions of medications or vaccines are difficult to recognize and more difficult to prove, even under the most regulated of circumstances. When medications or vaccines are sold over-the-counter, it is nearly impossible.

The over-the-counter vaccines effectively remove any ability for physicians, researchers or patients identify side-effects. Selling over-the-counter vaccines is a boon to the pharmaceutical industry, however. With this single move the industry can sell more vaccines, the vaccines become safe in the eyes of the consumer while the industry removes the ability to prove otherwise, and a brilliant, albeit less than ethical, corporate strategy is pushed on consumers.

What do you think, should vaccines be available at the local pharmacy?
