About Us
Hormones Matter™ is an online, community publication dedicated to advancing health research and knowledge. We are the official blog of Lucine Health Sciences, a direct-to-patient health research and media company.  We believe that by giving patients the tools to understand, measure and manage their health, we can improve health for all.

This publication is part of Lucine’s campaign to prove hormones matter. At Hormones Matter™ we are changing the conversation; showing the world that hormone health matters by providing personal stories, evidence-based news and health research, and provocative – even humorous – commentary on the state of women’s health and women’s health policy.

We encourage the sharing of ideas and comments from our readers. As such, the opinions expressed on this site are the opinions of the authors and, unless otherwise stated, do not necessarily reflect those of Hormones MatterTM or our parent company, Lucine Health Sciences.

  1. I have been researching women’s health for many years & have found significant gaps & large areas of ommission in women’s health care & research. Hormonesmatter.com is an incredible resource. We need to end the medical mistreatment & misinformation of women. This site is going a long way to finally helping women. It is a singular resource. I wish I had found it sooner. It is essential for anyone who is interested in or concerned with women’s health.

  2. A friend suggested I look at DES ACTION Australia, which I did and was reading some material and a link brought me here.
OMFG, is all I can say at present. My baby was adopted out in 1972 and I was given injections of Stilboestrol over a few days after giving birth, told it would stop my milk.
I had never before linked those few injections to a life of endometriosis, resulting in a vaginal hysterectomy 28 years later. Nor had I ever linked the auto immune diseases that have changed my life nor the epileptic episodes, migraines, cluster headaches and generally weird headaches for which nothing has ever been found to be the cause.
I am still a little in shock.

  3. Will you please include the generic name alongside trade/commercial names like Lupron, for readers outside America

  4. Dr. Barbara Davis in Indianapolis, Indiana knows, understands and treats the side effects of lupron.

  5. I am looking for a doctor that helps Lupron victims regain a better quality of life or at least a doctor/scientist that knows and has done research on Lupron and can help victims. Must I spend the rest of my life this way? 16 years and counting is too many years. Is anybody anywhere trying to figure this out while other docs continue to prescribe this poison to unknowing potential victims?????
